Abstract
The acoustical array combining microphones and piezoelectric devices is a kind of acoustical sensor fusion that can directly reduce internal noise. However, when the acoustical array is used, it is necessary to estimate the gains of microphones and piezoelectric devices concerning the internal noise source in advance. Our aim is to simplify this process, i.e., to reduce internal noise without preknowledge concerning the gains of microphones and piezoelectric devices. In this paper, the problem of the acoustical array combining microphones and a piezoelectric device is formulated. The assumptions and the methodology of the proposed method are then described. We also give some experimental results to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
