Abstract

A new speech coding algorithm for 8-kbit/s coding called CS-ACELP (Conjugate-Structure Algebraic Code-Excited Linear Predictive) coding was approved in Study Group 15 in ITU-T and will become a standard. This algorithm was proposed by NTT and three other organizations for use in "Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunication System" (FPLMTS) and a wide variety of applications.
