Abstract

The present Raman study in quasi-one-dimensional CDW system, (TaSe4)2I and (NbSe4)2I, elucidates the existence of three CDW-related TO modes: the amplitude mode from the Kohn anomaly point and two TO modes coupled with it. The CDW transition in this system is theoretically treated by the model with the strong interaction between the Kohn-anomaly TO mode and the TA mode consistently with the experimental results.
