Abstract

The measurement of strong coupling constant (αs) (Mz) from inclusive jet production at the Tevatron p̄p collider was reported. The value of strong coupling constant was determined by comparing the jet cross section with the next to leading order (NLO) perturbative quantum chromodynamics (QCD) predictions. The results indicated that for jet transverse energy (ET) in the range of 40-250 GeV with μR = ET the running of strong coupling constant was found in good agreement with QCD predictions.
