Abstract

Describes tests to evaluate the loading behaviour of repaired steel sheet piles. Methods used to repair the corrosion on the steel sheet piles involved composite members with reinforced concrete or steel plates. Results indicated that the proposed design method could be used to predict the ultimate and cracking loads. Methods of composition affect the ultimate strengths, modes of failure and the ductility of repaired steel sheet piles. (from authors' abstract)
