N2 - An automatic supervising method is investigated on mobile signals for future traffic systems. The instantaneous maximum entropy method (IMEM) is proposed to analyze time-variant signals. The spectral pattern analysis method is also given to analyze the state of mobile engine operation and to classify types of mobiles. The proposed method was applied to signal processings of test mobiles.
