Abstract

A major challenge of learning and instruction in MOOCs is to create interactive environments that promote both collaborative and instructional interactions at scale. In this study, we propose a model of Multi-layered Online Workshop (MOW) in which learners engage in multiple forms of activities and the instructor team engages in assisting learners online synchronously. The present study describes the overview of our first design case.
