Abstract

Pyrolysis of propylene in a DC electric field was investigated. The resulting nanostructure of carbon particles differs drastically depending on the electrode potential. It indicates that regulating ion species in hydrocarbon pyrolysis presents a means to control the nanoform of carbon particles.
