Abstract

(Figure Presented) In the nickel of time: A nickel/carbene catalyst effects the hydroheteroarylation of vinylarenes to give 1,1-diarylethanes that contain various heteroaryl moieties with excellent regioselectivity. EWC = electron-withdrawing group.
