Abstract

We have observed the magnetic-phase transitions of CeSb and CeBi by a magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy in the infrared region. The phase boundary is similar to that detected by neutron scattering. The optical spectra reflect the electronic structures in the ordered states. The electronic structure and also the origin of the magnetic transition are discussed.
