Abstract

In this study, we evaluate the performance of non-binary low-density parity-check (NB-LDPC) codes on two-dimensional array erasure models. For this channel model, two configurations of the codes on an array of storage devices are considered. We also present the density evolution of the proposed NB-LDPC code ensembles based on the above two configurations. The numerical and simulation results show that the proposed NB-LDPC codes outperform the conventional NB-LDPC codes.
