Abstract

This paper presents a practical analysis of thin-walled helicoidal beams. The validity of the physical approximation is confirmed numerically for an I-sectioned thin-walled helicoidal beam with fixed ends, subtending a horizontal angle of 90 degrees and having a slope of 6 degrees.
