Abstract
Sulfamide acid, one of the sulfonic acid derivatives, involves both an electron-drawing carbonyl group and a conjugated structure. In this paper, we focused on the sulfamide acid derivative as an effective proton donor under dry condition, which could be applicable for a high temperature PEM. We designed and synthesized polyamidesulfamide acid, the polyamide backbone bearing the side chain of sulfamide acid by polycondensation of sulfamide acid monomer and 4,4′-diaminodiphenylether. Its synthesis and property of the dry membrane including proton conductivity are described.
