Abstract

A preliminary questionnaire survey on the current status and the requirements on information delivery system for ingredients of construction products was conducted in Japan. Major part of the manufacturers and the users responded that a novel standardized scheme for the system would be needed. Large gaps between required levels for users and actual levels for manufacturers in the information delivery range and the display elements were indicated. In addition, differences in limitation of information delivery for the respective products were indicated. While, burden of cost and manpower to examine the ingredients by the novel standardized system and consistency with existing other systems were concerned.
