Abstract

The purpose of this study is efficient delivery of lipophilic drug such as curcumin using pharmacokinetics of nanoparticles with anionic lipid (L-Glutamic acid-N-(3-carboxyl-1-oxopropyl)-1,5-dihexadecyl ester (DHSG)). The o/w emulsions with (DMPC/DHSG/PEG-DSPE: 10/1/0.06 molar ratio) were prepared. We incorporated curcumin, into the emulsions and evaluated them. Furthermore, the organ distribution of the resulting emulsions was investigated to evaluate the pharmacokinetics in rats.
