Abstract

Layered double hydroxideorganic intercalation compounds were successfully synthesized by the solidstate reactions of magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and the guest species (p-toluenesulfonic acid, malonic acid, and oxalic acid) at room temperature. The present very simple synthesis is potentially applicable to a variety of layered double hydroxideorganic intercalation compounds.
