Abstract
We have developed amino lipids as pH-sensitive components of liposomes because of their low costs and low toxicities. Liposomes are required not only to control the behavior in circulation but also to control the release behavior of encapsulated drugs. We designed zwitter-ionic lipid from glutamic acid as a pH-sensitive lipid. The pH-sensitive lipid changes the head-group charge according to pH. We prepared pH-sensitive liposomes composed of the synthesized pH-sensitive amino lipid and studied the release behavior of albumin from the liposome under low pH and revealed the dynamics in fibroblast cells (CCD-32SK).
