Abstract

Thin films of silica-alkyltrimethylammonium chloride mesostructured materials were synthesized by spin coating the precursor solutions containing prehydrolyzed tetramethoxysilane and alkyltrimethylammonium chlorides. By varying the composition of the precursor solutions, silica-surfactant mesostructured materials with lamellar, hexagonal, and cubic (Pm3n) mesostructures were obtained as continuous and highly transparent thin films.
