Abstract

Beta zeolites with a wide range of Si/2Al ratios from 7 to infinity were synthesized by steam-assisted crystallization method. X-ray diffraction, FE-SEM, and MASNMR studies confirmed the formation of highly crystalline zeolite beta and Al incorporation in the framework under various conditions by the SAC method at temperatures ranging from 373 to 438 K. Na+ and TEA+ contents occluded in micropores of beta zeolite were determined. Quantitative knowledge on such occluded cations gave great insight on understanding crystallization mechanism of beta.
