Abstract

A relatively simple multiarea power system model is introduced and the influence of system configuration and MW control on power system dynamics is investigated. System configuration means longitudinal, radial, loop and other kinds of system connection, and MW control refers to both governor-free operation with local feedback and P-I type load-frequency control. The equivalent circuits are derived.
