    Abstract

Stochastic load flow analysis is considered in power system operation and control to obtain valuable information for system planning, the selection of redundant measurement data for static state estimation is discussed which is among the most important application areas of stochastic load flow analysis. Results published to-date are summarized, and the choice of redundant measurement data is discussed to improve the estimation accuracy of the minimum information observation system. The proposed method uses the variances of line flows obtained from stochastic load flow analysis. The proposed algorithm is very simple and applicable to large scale systems. It is applied to 5-, 14-, 30- and 57 node systems with good results.
