Abstract

To study die relationship between human heat load and sleep quality in different seasons, field surveys were conducted in actual bedrooms in summer and winter. In both seasons, the colder the environment the worse the quality of sleep was shown. Hie percentage of deeper sleep increased when the heat loss to bedding from the human body became nearly steady state. lh addition, when both die negative value and die positive value of ΣL™ which is die value obtained by multiplying die human heat load by every 30 seconds, are about die same, die percentage of deeper sleep increased.
