Abstract
Unexpected fluctuation of wind power output will become serious problems from the viewpoint of stable supply for an electricity grid. Operating a battery system installed in the grid for mitigating the short-term fluctuation is one of the new approaches for grid stabilization. In this paper, we propose a method of generating synthetic wind power profiles with high temporal resolution for power flow simulation which aims to estimate the impact of wind power fluctuation and specify the required battery system. We numerically show the plausibility of the synthetic wind power profiles from the viewpoints of statistical properties.
