N2 - In Japan today, the composition of public environments are becoming increasingly complex, and in turn, it is becoming increasingly difficult to provide adequate navigation guidance utilizing traditional Sign Systems. This proposed guidance system "Shadow Support Guide System: S3G" utilizes an artificial human shadow (silhouette) to provide navigation through public environments. The system works by navigators unconsciously mimicking the movements of the shadow.
