Abstract

This paper describes new computer executable revision support techniques for Japanese text. The two main goals are semi-automatic detection and collection techniques for mistyped words, and semi-automatic revision techniques for statements called AKUBUN, whose contents are difficult to understand. We have developed a technique that detects incorrect homonyms in complex noun clusters and techniques for collecting words recognized as such errors and several other grammatical errors. We have also developed techniques for revising five kinds of AKUBUN, including the proper division of long statements using the semantic information of RENYOU-TYUUSHI expressions.
