Abstract

In the satellite communication system with frequency-division multiple access (FDMA), the efficient use of the frequency band is very important. This report discusses the channel assignment method which can realize a high channel utilization for three kinds of information with different bandwidths while efficiently controlling the call loss probability. Particularly, the floating boundary assignment is considered and compared to the conventional methods. This comparison reveal that the proposed FA method is useful.
