Abstract

A reciprocating optical modulator (ROM) effectively generates harmonic components of modulation signal. We propose a novel optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) consisting of the ROM. By single-mode self-oscillating operation of the OEO, millimeter-wave-band radio-on-fiber signal is generated.
