N2 - The present paper reports the results of shape-control experiments using the smart secondary reflector prototype for satellite-borne radio-astronomy. The shape of the secondary reflector is modified by six special piezoelectric actuators with displacement magnification mechanisms. The experiments successfully demonstrated that the reception power of the antenna system has been improved by the shape control.
