Abstract
New multilayer insulation properties have been measured that greatly improve handling ease and reduce costs. Using the temperature distribution data, heat transport components have been evaluated separately from the total heat inflow and the fact that the radiation contribution is dominant is clarified. A way of improving performance is indicated.
