Abstract

Proposed is an easy technique for overlaying multiple wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) signals on optical code division multiplexing (OCDM) signals. The approach results in a broad coding spectrum for OCDM signals, and thus provides highly secure services in WDM-based networks. The technique is validated experimentally using an OCDM signal and two WDM signals.
