Abstract

We present efficient mobile fronthaul systems for simultaneous transmission of radio signals in the microwave and millimeter-wave bands over fiber links. We compare the performance for signal transmission over intermediate frequency over fiber systems using an electrical and optical up-conversion to the MMW band at remote sites. We experimentally confirm the successful transmission of an LTE-A signal at 2.6 GHz and a wideband OFDM signal at 35.4 GHz over the systems.
