Abstract

Global or diffuse solar irradiance divided into seven or six wavelength ranges was continuously measured on the horizontal surface by using a spectral band pyranometer with sharp cut-off filters. The measurements were carried out on an open roof of building in Kyoto during the summer and winter. We also measured the global and diffuse total solar irradiance. The values of relative spectral band irradiance were expressed in terms of the ratio of diffuse total solar irradiance to the global one, which designates the atmospheric conditions.
