He was with the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Communication Science Laboratories, Kyoto, Japan, from 2010 to 2012; the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, from 2013 to 2014; and the Intel Corporation from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, he joined Apple Inc. to work on signal processing and machine learning with an emphasis on acoustics and speech. He has published more than 50 papers. He received the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship and a postdoctoral fellowship, both from the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council, in 2008 and 2013, respectively.",
