Abstract

This paper describes the stability analysis of the sensorless control system for permanent magnet synchronous motors using the reduced order observer. Deriving the equilibrium linearized state equation, we discuss the stability of the observer-based controller when the speed estimation error arises. The validity of the analysis results is confirmed by experiment.
