Abstract

In the previous demonstrations of Bragg gratings in chalcogenide glasses, the maximum refractive index modulation obtained was limited to 3×10-4. This article presents and demonstrates a novel technique for fabricating strong Bragg gratings in chalcogenide glass waveguides.
