    Abstract

The stay cables are key elements of the cable-stayed bridges. The sectional forces of the stiffness girder and pylons can be optimized by adjusting the tensile force of the stay cables, and hence the loss of the stress in the stay cables and the loss of the stay cables greatly affect the structural performance of the cablestayed bridges. In this work, the impact on the structural performance of a 5-span steel cable-stayed bridge with a center span of 575 m due to the loss of the cable stress and the loss of the cable was investigated. The bridge is planned to span a channel in Tokyo bay, and has two pylons with a total height of 105 m.
