Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of the time difference of construction progress on the settlement induced by the non-synchronous construction of double-tube shield tunnels, it is necessary to consider the consolidation settlement of soil induced by advancing tunnel construction. Considering the consolidation settlement effect after tunnel excavation, the deformation formula of ground surface and deep soil under the non-synchronous construction of double-tube shield tunnels was proposed based on the Peck formula and the previous research results. The rationality and applicability of the proposed formula were verified using the monitoring data of the shield tunnel section between Zaoying station and Dongfeng Beiqiao station of Beijing metro line 14. The varying tendencies of settlement trough of single strata and multi-layered stratum were also analyzed. The results show that the width of settlement trough of multi-layered stratum reduces by 40% and the depth increases by 29% comparing with those of single cohesive strata. Meanwhile, the width of multi-layered stratum increases by 22% and the depth reduces by 28% comparing with those of single sandy strata under the same overburden thickness.
