Abstract
Research into complex nanomaterials produced by self-assembly or directed-assembly procedures at the molecular level is discussed. In particular, the formation of successive thin layers by different techniques creates coatings with unusual active properties, white organic/inorganic hybrid nanoparticles offer interesting properties in electronics applications.
