Abstract

Functionalized siloxane gels were prepared from organosilanes and tetrachlorosilane. Phosphonium salts were supported on these gels and the catalytic activities and the salt effects were examined during the reaction of the decarboxylation of 6-nitrobenzisoxazole-3-carboxylic acid. The catalyst whose active site is movable along its -CH//2-CH//2- chain has high catalytic activity.
