Abstract

Degradation of cellular metabolism leads to serious tissue damage through generation of excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS). It is necessary to make protective mechanisms to eliminate ROS. Mn porphyrin complex has an antioxidation activity. Novel antioxidant was prepared using Mn porphyrin and polymerized hemoglobin having long-term circulation property without being removed by an excretion process.
