Abstract
Iron /meso-tetrakis(2-thiofuryl)porphyrin complex was synthesized as the electrocatalyst of a superoxide sensor. An electrode was modified with the electropolymerized porphyrin film for evaluation of superoxide anion radical. When superoxide anion radical was generated by xanthine oxidase-catalyzed oxidation of xanthin, the current increased drastically in chronoamperometory. The relationship between the steady-state current for the oxidation and its concentration calculated from each XOD activity in the presence of 0.1 M xanthin-containing phosphate buffer solution at a potential of 0.5 V. The porphyrin-modified electrode were quantitative to measure superoxide anion radical.
