Abstract
The electrical disintegration (ED) method, in which electrodes contact target substances and the energy of high voltage pulses is charged directly to the material, is effective to improve the liberation of constituent components. However the disintegration mechanism has not been described. This paper reviews experimental results in previous publications and discusses the mechanism of preferential breakage at the boundary of the constituent components in the ED.
