Abstract
The electrochromic display (BCD) using radical polymer as an electroactive substance was made in combination with a thin film of Prussian Blue (PB) used as the electrochromic material. The radical polymer, poly(2,2,6,6- tetramethylpiperidinyloxy methacrylate) (PTMA), was coated on ITO/glass electrode. A gel-like ion-conducting layer, which is consisting of PEG, KPF 6, TiO2 and H2O, was sandwiched between the PTMA-coated ITO and the PB-deposited ITO glass substrates. The resulting BCD cell showed a relatively fast switching speed in the range of 20-50 msec with a reasonable endurance under atmospheric conditions.
