Abstract

The first total synthesis and structural determination of TMC-264 has been accomplished. Regioselective bromination, regioselective methoxymethylation, and nickel(0)-Lewis acid-mediated cyclization afforded multi-functionalized 1-methyl-dibenzo[b,d]-pyran skeleton.
