Abstract
Earth materials have great possibility of saving the burden on global envrironmmaent. How erver, the utiliozation ways of earth matrerial are limited within traditional clay wall and earthenware products. This paper reported the results for the experiments that aimed to use the nonburnt earth blocks as the masonry units for the load-bearing exterior wall of small scaled etached house. Magnesium oxide was used as the additives to enhance the compressive strength and water resistance based on the expe rim ent, and then the influence of thee mix proportion and manu facturin g conditions a wsseurme ing outdaoteor and handmade were investigated.
