Abstract

The responses of an offshore tower due to short-crested and long-crested ocean waves are investigated. A time-domain analysis is performed utilizing the recently developed method of generating sample functions of random processes. A direct comparison has been made between the responses obtained for long-crested and short-crested sea waves. (A)
