Abstract

Transition noise reduction in CGC perpendicular media was discussed. Transition jitter and magnetization transition analysis were performed using MFM. Results showed that the transition-smoothing effect is due to the magnetic interaction between the two layers that resolves exchange-coupled clusters in the granular layer.
