Abstract
An ultrasonic insert cast device for preparing aluminum or steel pipe joining with aluminum alloy was designed to fabricate a test piece of metal/AC4C joint. The influences of ultrasound operation timing and ultrasound output power on the bonding strength and microstructure of the metal pipe/AC4C alloy joint were determined. Based on the results, a new process to fabricate an intake manifold for the automobile engine was derived.
