A method for the configuration of hybrid cellular manufacturing system

抄録

A multi-phase comprehensive method for the design of hybrid cellular manufacturing (HCM) system is presented in this paper. The initial phase aims at categorizing parts to be produced on the cellular or the functional layout facilities of the system. Second and third phases show a mathematical approach with two inter-related models, where the first is to determine the formation of cells and the second is to eliminate the exceptional elements. Lastly the capability of the approach was demonstrated by applying it to an industrial example.
