A Study about Town Revival and the Characteristics of Street Café Usersin Germany

People using street cafés usually live in town, visit the cafés more than once a week and come by bicycle. They usually visit street cafés when strolling around town and use the time they in the open café to relax. Thus, open cafés contribute to the amount of time spent in town and creates a lively atmosphere. Byproloninga stroll around town it also helps people to discover interesting shops. It is a combination of 'consumer-oriented free time ' (eating and drinking) and 'non-consumer-oriented free time' (enjoying the weather, the town and communication with other people) and therefore also has an economical effect on the town centre.
